Ashanti Douglas, popularly referred to as Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York United States on 13 October 1980. She is a performer and a singer who hails from the United States. Ashanti started her career as a teenager, and was then signed by Murder Inc. Records by 2002. That same year Ashanti was featured in Fat Joe's What's Luv? song as well as Ja Rule's Always On Time track both of which were huge hits. Hey Baby After the Club came out on the 16th of October to both radio and digital platforms. She also starred in the films Christmas in the City, Army Wives and Latasha Monteclair. Her track Rock wit U was sampled by British singer Aitch for his track Baby on 10 March 2022.
